Please note the summary gives a brief outline of the Neighbourhood Plan and includes the Policies in detail. We encourage you to read the full document which is available below, along with all supporting documents at the following links.

Paper copies

Reference copies of the full Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed at 3 locations; Town Council Offices, the Glastonbury Information Centre (located in St Dunstan’s House) and the Library.

Why Your Feedback Matters

The Neighbourhood Plan will help guide planning decisions in Glastonbury until 2040.

Your comments will help ensure the final Plan reflects the needs, priorities, and aspirations of the community.

What Happens Next?

The consultation runs from 22 June to 2 August 2026.

Following consultation:

  • Comments will be reviewed.
  • Amendments may be made to the Plan.
  • The Plan will be submitted to Somerset Council.
  • An independent examination will take place.
  • A local referendum will be held.
  • If approved, the Plan will become part of the planning framework used to guide future development.

We welcome comments from residents, businesses, community organisations, and anyone with an interest in the future of Glastonbury.
