Category | Description |
Tier 1 | For community based, grass-roots groups and initiatives that exist by and for the local community. It includes voluntary groups, start-ups, informal collectives, and community led projects, as well as activities supporting the health and wellbeing of Glastonbury, including those run by larger charities or organisations with a clear local community focus. Activities must be free to the user or not-for-profit, with any income used only to cover costs. This tier ensures the space remains accessible to groups creating positive impact for the local community. |
Tier 2 | For small, independent and locally based businesses, including self- employed individuals and small/medium-sized enterprises, using the space as part of their normal trading activity. For charged for services such as classes, workshops, treatments, or events, and the activity is commercial in nature, but still offers a clear benefit to the local community. This tier supports local enterprise while recognising the community focused nature of the work. |
Tier 3 | For private or ticketed events that are not open to the general public who could walk in off the street for free. It includes closed gatherings, private functions, and invitation only or pre- booked events where attendance is restricted and the activity is not publicly accessible or primarily community focused. |
