The Council Chamber provides a professional environment for meetings, conferences, and official gatherings. Located within a historic building, it combines practicality with an air of tradition.
The Council Chamber in Glastonbury Town Hall, built in 1814, is the highlight of the magnificent neo-classical building and has been the heart of local democracy for over two centuries. As a Grade II* listed building, it exudes historical significance.
The Chamber is home to four remarkable pieces from the National Collection, adding cultural depth to the space. Additionally, a display of Glastonbury’s heraldry from the College of Arms showcases the town’s rich history and civic pride.
This room continues to serve as a vibrant venue for civic meetings and ceremonies, preserving the traditions of governance in Glastonbury.
