Michael White

Dr Michael White is a marine scientist with global research experience. In recent years plastic pollution in the ocean, and the devastating impacts of climate change can only be described as catastrophic: these are largely invisible to people on land, so education is the real key to reducing these impacts.
Cllr White brings a deep understanding of many topics to Council, and serves on various committees [Austin Memorial Trust, Burial Board, Finance & General Purposes, Frost Fayre, In Bloom, Resilience, Services/Youth & Operations, Staffing]; he is also Vice-Chair of the Town Deal Advisory Board].
