Glastonbury Town Council is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Mayor Michael (Mike) Free.
Mike served the town with dedication & distinction, holding the office of Mayor of Glastonbury twice in 1989 and 1995.
His contributions to the community will be long remembered as well as his work to modernise Glastonbury Town Hall with a lift and additional fire exits, ensuring that more people can access meetings and events in our historic building.
The Council extends its sincere condolences to Mike’s family and friends at this difficult time.
The funeral is to be held on Monday 8th December, 2pm, at St John’s Church. Family only at the interment, but all are welcome afterwards at the Avalon Club.
