1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5BT, during the times stated below.
Nomination papers are also available for download at the bottom of this page.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at Electoral Services, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5BT between 10am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-4pm on any working day from the date of publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday 10th October 2025.
3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday, 21st October 2025 Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by post at Electoral Services, Somerset Council, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, or by hand at Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5BT by 5 pm on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025. Applications to vote by post can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-postal-vote.
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by post at Electoral Services, Somerset Council, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, or by hand at Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5BTby 5pm on Wednesday, 29th October 2025.
