St Ben’s pupils triumph in Glastonbury in Bloom poster competition
The creative, artistic pupils of St. Benedict’s have emerged victorious in the Glastonbury in Bloom poster competition, scooping awards in both the younger and older pupils’ categories. Their posters will be seen around town to advertise Glastonbury in Bloom, which is due to be judged in July 2021. In the lower school, Grace from Year 4 won the runners’ up prize, with Freya scooping the top prize for her fabulous design. In the upper school the plaudits went to Felicity (runner-up) and Alif (winner) for their colourful posters. The judges’ pick went to Year 4, Kyla for her vibrant flower design. All award winners received prizes and a framed copy of their poster.
Raised Beds for Happy Heads
This year, with funding support from the Glastonbury in Bloom committee, pupils from St Ben’s school have established raised beds throughout the Glastonbury community with the aim of spreading a splash of colour and a little happiness. Here are pupils from Year 3 planting up their beds outside the GP surgery on Feversham Lane.
