Glastonbury Town Council recently met and discussed the reinstatement of car parking charges in St Dunstan’s car park. The suspension of car parking charges commenced in March following the request for a lockdown to prevent the escalation of the coronavirus pandemic. The relaxation of some of the social distancing legislation has resulted in more people visiting Glastonbury and the car parks are now much busier. Councillors agreed to start charging again from Friday 7th August, when it is understood that Mendip District Council may also be recommencing charges for parking. The weekly market in St Dunstan’s car park is to continue for the immediate future, with a review after three months.
