Has Glastonbury been listening?
The results of Glastonbury’s neighbourhood plan consultation is ready to be shared at open meetings.
Glastonbury has been working on the creation of a Neighbourhood Plan for the past two years. Great progress has been made, with consultation events being well attended. There are six areas of activity where residents have been specifically consulted and formulate the basis from which policies have been created. Summer roadshows, public events and open meetings have resulted in a draft plan almost ready for submission.
Two open meetings in Glastonbury Town Hall have been organised for Friday 14th September 6.00 – 9.00pm and Saturday 15th September 9.30am – 12 noon. You are encouraged to drop-in and learn what policies have been created for inclusion, as on completion of the Neighbourhood Plan, the adopted policies become legislation and are to be incorporated in future planning applications and decisions. “We are at the exciting part of the process now, so why not be part of our excitement” added Jon Cousins, chair of Glastonbury’s Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
